About Spinecrest

Spinecrest is a small studio that builds book-first websites for authors. It is run by Taciturn Creation Studios, an independent publishing and software company in the United States that also makes ReaderMagnet, a review-copy service for authors.

We started Spinecrest because we publish books ourselves and kept meeting the same problems: author sites that looked like generic business templates, buy links that quietly broke, and pen names that were awkward to run side by side. Spinecrest puts the books first: covers, series order and the stores readers actually use.

What we believe

• Your domain and your reader list belong to you. You can export your site at any time.
• A site should work beautifully on a phone, without pop-ups covering the page.
• Pricing should be plain, with no surprise charges.

The Journal

We write practical guides on author websites, buy links, newsletters and series pages in the Spinecrest Journal.
